|Connie Francis, Not Just A Pretty face|
|Singer, actress born Concetta Fraconero in Newark, New Jerseyin 1938. A musically talented child, Connie recorded her first single "Freddy," in 1955. In 1958, at nineteen years old, she had her first big hit, "Who's Sorry Now?" In addition to recording more than sixty popular albums, Connie also appeared in five films, including Where The Boys Are (1961), for which she sang the title song. Francis, who left the entertainment business for several years after surviving a rape and robbery in 1974, recorded her last hits in the 1960s, but still continues to perform.|
